The Emmett Till Memorial Commission
A Conversation with the Philadelphia Coalition
A conversation with members of the Philadelphia Coalition as they
reflect on the legacy of race and social justice in the state of Mississippi
and continuing efforts to reconcile a troubled history. The Philadelphia
Coalition is a broad-based, multi-racial task force charged with
planning the public commemoration on June 20, 2004, planning an appropriate public memorial to the civil rights workers in Neshoba County and establishing a perpetual structure that will foster racial harmony and reconciliation.
