Our first speaker will be James Peacock, Kenan Professor of Anthropology and Director of the University Center for International Studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, he will deliver the keynote address for the 2006-07 porter Fortune History Symposium Speakers' Series. His title is "How the U.S. South Embraces the World or the South Ain't Flat," and the address will take place on Thursday, November 2, 2006, 7:00 pm, Tupelo Room, Barnard Observatory.
