Respect Mississippi was founded with three fundamental goals at its core: communication, education and service.

Respect Mississippi is intended to educate students at the University of Mississippi about past and present issues of diversity and inequality.

The organization also provides safe areas for discussion on issues of diversity through both open forums and keynote speaker addresses. The third primary goal of Respect Mississippi will be to direct and facilitate student members to service oriented projects in the Oxford community and around the state of Mississippi.
