Some quick facts about Attack of the 50ft Woman to tickle your fancy and impress your friends.

  • The film was created right after the success of Sputnik, so the giant's spaceship is called a "satellite" because the writer thought the word referred to any spherical shaped spacecraft.
  • It was originally meant to play as a double feature with War of the Satellites.
  • When filming Honey's death scene, Yvette Vickers had a close call when a large nail on one of the falling boards came dangerously close to her head.
  • The suggestion for Honey's sexy dance came from Frank Chase (Deputy Charlie), brother of dancer Barrie Chase.
  • According to horror movie historian Tom Weaver, the movie's ending was changed during filming. The orginial plan gave Nancy the last line, in which Harry says "You killed me, Nancy," and she replies "You killed me many times before, Harry."
  • The Woolner Brothers planned to make a sequel--with a larger budget--shot in color. This idea saw a final script, but the film never went into production.
