Attack of the 50ft Woman wasn't the first giant movie and it certainly wasn't the last. Because the majority of horror films from the 50s and 60s that used the giant theme centered around insects, 50ft Woman stands out by not having a grotesque giant (despite what the trailer might claim). But these giant bug films aren't quite so popular today, while 50ft Woman has left a mark too sweet to avoid, and any modern-age giant character seems to allude to the 1958 classic at some point or another.
