HIERARCHY

Whenever man builds a vehicle, one of the primary objectives thereafter is to make it go faster. Planes are certainly no exception to this rule. Over time, the relatively slow propeller-driven models gave way to faster, sleeker jets. While breaking the sound barrier was once considered impossible, it is now merely an afterthought as jets punch their way to Mach 2 (1540 m.p.h.) and beyond.
