Race to Space
The prestigious title for the “World’s Tallest Building” has been sought after for over a century. The significance of the skyscraper boasts a projected image of the city, as well as an architectural marvel. It all started in America during the Industrial Revolution, and later attracted other countries around the world. In recent years, the pace has begun to quicken and the number of significant skyscrapers is dramatically increasing. A good example is the city of Dubai, which has begun construction on a number of new projects, aspiring to become a hub of international tourism by 2010.
