Nestled in the woods in the heart of the Colorado Rockies, adjacent to Rocky Mountain National Park, Rocky Ridge Music Center has for the past 60 summers offered students of all ages an unforgettable experience in music-making and mountain living. Our programs emphasize individual achievement and cooperative learning amidst the inspirational backdrop of the Rocky Mountains.

Rocky Ridge is a summer music educational experience for middle school, high school, and college students offering chamber music, orchestra, private lessons, and music theory. Students also have opportunities to hike and enjoy the Colorado Rocky Mountains.

Between an outstanding, caring counseling staff and being located in pristine natural surroundings, each student will have ample opportunity for personal growth and creative expression. Group activities offered include hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park (supervised, of course!), swimming, horseback riding, craft projects, and visits to the nearby resort town of Estes Park. These activities foster friendships and a remarkable sense of community spirit for which Rocky Ridge has become known.

Beth Miller Harrod founded Rocky Ridge in 1947 when she purchased the historic lodge and surrounding cabins that once served as the base accommodations for Longs Peak in Rocky Mountain National Park.

RRMC is located 9 miles south of Estes Park, Colorado on highway 7, at the Longs Peak campground and trail head exit - (see map). Rocky Ridge is high in the mountains at 9,000 feet, which provides cool evenings and pleasant days.
