Rocky Ridge Now in Estes Park All Year!
Rocky Ridge Music Center no longer has a Nebraska address off season. The office is now located in downtown Estes Park, Colorado during the fall, winter, and spring. Of course we are at our campus near Longs Peak during the summer music season.

Carina Voly Named as new Music Director for Rocky Ridge
Carina Voly, who is from Buenos Aires, Argentina, began cello studies at the Conservatorio Nacional and later received a Bachelor of Music degree in Cello Performance from the Jerusalem Rubin Academy of Music and Dance in Israel. Upon coming to the United States, Voly was recognized as a Bolz Fellow in String Pedagogy and Cello at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and received a Master of Music degree in Cello Performance and Pedagogy.   read more...

Connie Cook Glen named Associate Director of Rocky Ridge
The Rocky Ridge Board of Trustees has appointed Connie Cook Glen to a new position, Associate Director, effective September 1, 2004. Ms. Glen has been associated with Rocky Ridge for twelve years, teaching piano ensemble literature, eurhythmics, chamber choir and music theory, as well as numerous mini-sessions on specific topics such as "Women in Music," "Impressionism," and "Rhythmic Impulses." She was named Program Director for the Junior Student Seminars in 2004 and will continue in that capacity.    read more...

Festival Quartet-in-Residence for 2005: The Chiara String Quartet

Chiara String Quartet: The Chiara String Quartet (Rebbeca Fischer, violin; Julie Yoon, violin; Jonah Sirota, viola; Gregory Beaver, cello) is at the forefront of a new generation of exceptional American quartets. Awarded the 2003-2005 Lisa Arnhold Residency at the Juilliard School, the quartet also won First Prize at the 2002 Fischoff Competition, Second Prize at the 2002 Young Concert Artists International Auditions, and in the same year won the Astral Artistic Services National Auditions, placing it on the Astral roster of outstanding young artists launching major professional careers. In the words of Tim Smith of The Baltimore Sun, "...the award-winning foursome clearly has what it takes to make a lasting mark in the chamber music world." read more....

Master Class with the Takács String Quartet

The Takács String Quartet will be offering one master classe during the Rocky Ridge 2005 season. Classes will provide an opportunity for string players in the Young Artist Seminar to receive expert critique and instruction.    read more...
